Dream Morocco

Dream Morocco

Perched on the edge of North Africa, Morocco occupies a fascinating place in the geography of the world: only 9 miles of ocean separate Morocco from Europe but it is firmly rooted in the traditions and history of the Islamic world. Being at a geographical crossroads has allowed Morocco to absorb myriad influences, creating a vibrant culture that reflects its rich historical heritage.

Desert Nights

Find your spiritual home among the epic Sahara dunes that reach far into the depth of Africa.  The terrain, shaped by centuries of wind and weather is a panoply of diversity.  Travel slowly to learn about the hamada, dry valleys, lakes and salt flats that form this expansive area of Morocco.  Spacious and remote, travel by camel or vehicle tour, crossing beautiful dunes, spending the night in a desert camp and experiencing the stars under African skies.

Chefchaouen

Beautifully perched beneath the raw peaks of the Rif Mountains in northwest Morocco, the delightful town of Chefchaouen is one of the prettiest and most photographically interesting towns in Morocco. Known as the blue pearl of Morocco, it’s famous for the striking, blue-washed buildings of its old town but there are other areas of town to relax and enjoy as well.  You can lose yourself in the cool hues that grace almost every wall and doorway in town.

Aït-Ben-Haddou

Aït Benhaddou is an historic ighrem or ksar located in the foothills of the southern slopes of the High Atlas mountains, along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakesh in Morocco.  The ksar is a group of earthen buildings, made entirely out of rammed earth mixed with straw, clay bricks, and wood, surrounded by high walls and is a traditional pre-Saharan habitat.  It grew up as a waypoint for travelers transporting salt, spices, gold, and slaves along the major trans-Saharan trade route that leads through the Tizi n’Tichka pass to the Imperial City of Marrakesh.  It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
